When you can’t book yourself for self care – whether it’s a haircut, manicure, or massage – you suddenly realize how much you cherish those opportunities to tune out for a while. Time devoted to caring for yourself is a treasure, especially when you discover it’s something you might have been taking for granted…

People who get regular massage discover all kinds of benefits beyond relaxation. Bodywork is a powerful method of pain management and a great way to take time to check in with your body. Often during a massage, it’s not only the tension that you are aware of needing attention! You may discover that other parts of your body are carrying tension, or harboring hidden (latent) trigger points.

In any case, when you have to find ways to address physical tension yourself in between massage appointments, here are some tips that I’d love to share with you.
