Elena followed her heart to Canada, after a demanding career in mogul skiing that took her to the 2014 Olympic Games. Following her wedding, as she worked to discover what her next chapter would hold, she suffered anxiety as she sought her new purpose in life, along with the progression of alopecia, a disease that causes hair loss. After not only redefining herself professionally, but examining her femininity as well, she has gathered her experiences into a book that shares her personal story to inspire others to look inward to tune into purpose and self love.

In this episode we discuss:

The experience of anxiety and guilt that can arise as we step away from others’ expectations to create a new definition of Self,

The temptation to stick with what’s ‘familiar’ even when it doesn’t serve us,

Allowing space for the process of Self Discovery,

Making bold choices and radical Self Acceptance,

Defining Self Care is a personal process,

Granting yourself permission to let go of things that no longer serve you.
